We’re happy to have you join us for a canvas class, but here are the written instructions if you’d like to follow along!

1- Transfer your design to the canvas. Trace your design onto the tissue paper using PENCIL. Then place your tissue paper over the canvas, and trace again using MARKER.

2- Paint the main parts of your cake light pink. Mix 2-3 parts white with 1 part dark pink to make light pink. Paint the top and side of your cake.

3- Paint the cherries, whipped cream, and icing ridges. Paint the cherries red. Mix 1-2 parts white with 1 part dark pink, and paint the icing ridges along the cake medium pink. Paint the whipped cream under the cherries white.

4- Paint your background. While your cake dries, paint the background. We mixed a little bit of yellow and white into our green to get that bright lime shade. Add white highlights while the green is still wet if you want to. Paint the sides too!

5- Add the accents & details. Using dark pink, add accents along the icing ridges. Add white highlights to your cherries & cherry stems (if desired). Add white swoop detail to cake (if desired). Trace writing with dark pink or white. If you can’t see the writing through the paint, place your tissue back over your canvas and re-trace (just make sure your paint is dry!) Don’t forget to sign your piece!
