All About Walk-In Clay at Wish!

We are SO excited to offer walk in clay at Wish! Guests are encouraged to let their creativity flow and create their own pieces that we will fire in the kiln so they can be painted! No experience needed, but if you’d like to get better, consider coming to one of our clay project classes! 

How does it work? Come in to Wish any time to create, but give yourself at least an hour to create. We’ll set you up with some clay and instructions, and you’ll have access to all of our clay tools. Our staff members will be there to answer any questions, but just like with our pottery painting, walk-in clay is a self guided process. Once you finish, you’ll leave your piece with us to go through the kiln. Once it’s fired, you can return anytime during our open hours to paint it! Most pieces will be ready for painting in 10-14 days but some may take longer if your piece needs extra drying time. Guests must be at least 8 years old to participate in walk in clay, and kids must have adult guidance. 

Will my piece definitely make it through the kiln? We cannot make any guarantees, and there are no refunds for pieces that don’t survive. Clay is a natural medium that can be unpredictable, but as long as you follow our instructions your creation should be fine! 

What are some things I can create? You can be creative, but some projects that are easy for beginners are- pinch pots, pinch pot animals, coasters, plaques, dishes, ring holders, incense/candle holders and more!!
